Wrap Around Labels

Our Famous (Pi) Labels ®

The wraparound label that provides similar copy space to booklet labels, but is the better choice for vials and syringes.

We've been a booklet label manufacturer for over 39 years so we really believe in them. However, booklet labels generally have longer lead times which may be an issue for some clinical operations. The marketplace is going to a more ON-DEMAND model due to new innovations in biologics, and cell and gene medicines. (Pi) Labels  ® are designed to respond to the new clinical label challenges and is a complementary solution to booklet labels.

Introducing the BCL (Pi) Label ® : The custom printed wrap around label that is the better choice for vials and syringes. (Pi) Labels ® wrap around small round surfaces multiple times and then seal to themselves. Depending on the version, (Pi) Label ® offer up to 28 times more copy space than single ply vial labels. They don’t eliminate booklet labels, but they are potentially more useful for many small and medium studies that might require as many as 15 languages. Providers can read them without creases or folds interfering. The best advantage that (Pi) Label ® offers is speed. We can print them 25% faster than booklet labels, or we can ship blank (Pi) Labels ® on rolls specifically tailored to work on your thermal transfer printers. This means you can print On-Demand labels as you require.

FAQ
  • Why do you call them (Pi) Labels ®? Pi is the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter. Since we are constantly using Pi to calculate the circumference of vials, syringes, etc. for wraparound labels, we decided to incorporate it into a brand name. Thanks to Archimedes for the formula, and William Jones, a math teacher in 1701, for using the Greek symbol π in reference to the formula. Here it is for those interested. Circumference = π x diameter. We added a parenthesis to our version of how we express our brand name. (Pi) Label ®.
  • How fast can you print each label with a unique code (true variable)? Usually 3-5 additional days. We will quote you a time.
  • How do I get pricing? We need the quantities and specifications of your clinical project. We typically quote projects the same day.
